Man Art Dust and to Dust Man Shall Return
Like a Misty Rain into a Raging River
And the Raging River into the Endless Sea
Held a newborn and heard her first cry
Held the drying and said the last goodby
My eyes have been witness to both
In life I have walked upon lofty clouds and laughed aloud
Touching the earth one last time before I die
Yet I Arise with first light of the sky
My arms have withered my bones have dried
Windswept, I inch closer to the edge
Snapping off the fragile branches of life
Storm after storm pull the green leaves into the River
and to a Peaceful Conclusion in the Endless Sea.
Amen, Glory to you Lord.
